Erik Oksala Erik Oksala
Erik Oksala is RL Leaders Chief-of-staff, responsible for the day to
day coordination of its various projects and government contracts.
Mr. Oksala has spent more than 15 years in and around Washington, DC,
involved with campaigns, state government issues, nonprofit coalition
building, and federal government affairs representation within the
political arena.
Prior to joining RL Leaders, Mr. Oksala served as Director of Federal
State Relations under Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle. In this
position, Mr. Oksala managed all aspects of the Governors office,
including the strategic oversight and implementation of the State of
Wisconsins Federal agenda, as well as oversight of a 3 person staff.
Mr. Oksala served as the primary liaison between Governor Doyle and
the Wisconsin congressional delegation, as well as between the
Governor and the National Governors Association and the Democratic
Governors Association. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Oksala was a
Government Relations Analyst and Deputy Director of Operations for
Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek Government Affairs providing strategic
execution of the firms federal relations agenda, including management
of the firms Federal appropriations requests.
Mr. Oksala received his Bachelor of the Arts degree in Political
Science, with a concentration in Public Policy from Goucher College.
He and his family reside in Washington, DC.
